The village has a number of regular events:

Grindleford Gallop
A 35 Km run round the Peak DistrictGrindleford Carnival normally in March.

Grindleford Fell Race

Grindleford Carnival
Both normally in June

Grindleford Horticultural Society Show
Held on the third Saturday in August

Grindleford Goat
A popular Cycle Sportive raising money for The Grindleford Goat Charity with 4 routes for all age and skill levels, held on the second Sunday in September.
