The first of the village tree planting sessions took place this week on the bank along the top of the allotments / bonfire field.

Project 1 from the Grindleford Tree Planting Group has been planted on 4th and 5th May 2021 just as we are emerging from a terrible pandemic.
Thanks so much for helping with our community project.
I thought it was a really lovely couple of days.
We met some new people; brought some people together; created some new habitat; managed some existing habitat; got hot; got wet; and managed our aim of planting 270 new trees in our lovely village, by the villagers, for the village.
We are hoping to start a new project this autumn and need to plan for that.
