Road Closure Notices

SIR WILLIAM HILL ROAD, GRINDLEFORD

WHEN: 18 August 2014 to 15 September 2014

WHERE: Close Sir William Hill Road, Grindleford from its junction with the B6001 for a distance of 850 metres in a north westerly direction.

REASON: To facilitate water main renewal works.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Will be via B6001 – B6521 – B6001 – A625 – A623 – B6521 – Church Street – Hawkhill Road – Edge Road – Sir William Hill Road (to point of closure) and Vice Versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.

Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190.

The County Council intends to make/has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.

B6521 NEW ROAD, EYAM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Order made by Derbyshire County Council on 20 February 2014 under Section 14 of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which was to close B6521 New Road, Eyam from its junction with The Causeway to its junction with B6001, has been further continued.

The Alternative route will be via B6001, A625, B6521 and vice versa.

The road will be closed until 31 January 2015 or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner, to facilitate landslip repair works (following land stabilisation).

Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused during the duration of the temporary restriction. Any member of the public requiring further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
