SUNDAY LUNCH TO COMMEMORATE THE 70th ANNIVERSARY OF THE END OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR
The Parish Council are holding a special Commemoration Sunday Lunch at the Sir William Hotel on Remembrance Sunday, the 8th November, following the morning services at the Church and War Memorial.
Morning Coffee will be served at the Sir William following the War Memorial Service and then there will be a period to remember the servicemen from the village who gave their lives and to reflect on how the community was affected by the conflict. If anyone has any memorabilia from the period that they would like to bring to show or talk about, please contact Alan Jacques, see contact details below.
Lunch will be served in the Dining Room at approx. 12.30. The meal will be hand carved Roast Beef with all the trimmings, followed by sweet of the day. The cost will be £12 per head, cash payments only please and any profit will be put towards the upkeep of the War Memorial.
