Our tree planting group have two new projects to tell you about.
- We are pleased that the Grindleford Playing Fields Committee have agreed to a hedge planting community project at the top of the Bonfire Field. We have applied to the Woodland Trust to supply a range of native species, with a view to planting in March 2021.
- The National Trust have agreed to help with a planting project on N.T. land at Upper Rough Wood and Oxhay Meadows beyond Padley Chapel. This one will need us to fundraise.
- Other areas of land have become future possible projects.
If you would like to be involved with the group, please contact paul.thorpe@hotmail.com. We will be needing enthusiastic diggers, planters and folk willing to help with maintenance.
We need to raise funds for the Upper Padley project – donations or fundraising ideas welcome!
